Studio Policies
Booking Policy
In consideration of our piercer’s time and that of the other clients being seen that day, please be sure to arrive to your scheduled appointment time at least 5 minutes early. Late arrivals will be required to rebook and will be billed the cost of that appointment’s service fee.
CANCELLATIONS / NO-CALL NO-SHOW: In the event you find you will not be able to be present for your appointment, we provide a no-charge 24-hour cancellation window. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to your appointment and no-call/no-shows will be billed that appointment’s respective service fee. If client decides against proceeding with their reserved service in-studio, a $20 setup fee will be collected.
SAME DAY BOOKING: We require all clients to book online to be properly entered into our client management system. If you wish to be seen same day, please check the piercer’s availability on our online booking service and reserve a time that works best for you. If no open spots remain for that day, we encourage you to book for as soon as you are able to and look forward to seeing you then!
Please be aware that if you are booking a same day appointment, our free 24-hour cancellation policy no longer applies. If you are unable to make your appointment after booking it, you will be billed the service fee for that appointment.
Minor Policy
A “Minor” refers to anyone under the age of 18 years old. Minors receiving a piercing are required to have a biological parent or legal guardian present during their piercing appointment and will be required to provide current, legal identification when completing the piercing waiver.
Birth certificate is not required.
Jewelry changes do not require the presence of a parent/guardian.
Conjur Piercing Arts does not pierce anyone under the age of 4 years old.
Minor Pre-Piercing Consultations
All piercing appointments for minors will start with a pre-piercing consultation to ensure the minor’s thorough understanding of how to properly care for and have any questions answered about their new piercing. Our piercer may decline to perform the piercing if it is determined that the minor:
Does not fully understand or is otherwise incapable of caring for their new piercing.
Is unable to sit still or follow piercer instruction for any procedure.
Is not paying attention or is behaving dismissively /disrespectfully.
Please be aware that we operate on a strict client consent policy. If the appointment is for a minor, that minor is our client. If, for any reason, a minor communicates they no longer wish to be pierced, the appointment will be concluded.
Jewelry Returns, Repairs, & Replacements Policy
All jewelry sales are final once they have left the studio. No returns/refunds of any type will be honored, so please be sure that any jewelry you purchase is of the proper size and/or style for your piercing. Our piercer will happily assist with assessing/changing your piercing for you to ensure fit and compatibility.
If jewelry breakage occurs due to manufacturer error, Conjur Piercing Arts will provide a Titanium end/piece at wholesale cost while the broken piece is being repaired. Due to the number of different makers we source our body jewelry from, we cannot guarantee a timeframe for said repairs to be completed (we will provide our best estimate). Once the repaired jewelry has been returned, you will be contacted by the piercer to make an appointment to have it reinstalled.
Custom Jewelry Orders Policy
Our piercer is happy to help you build and place custom jewelry orders! To do so, we will require a consultation appointment so the piercer can perform the necessary measurements and assessments and discuss the details of your order with you. A deposit will be required for the order to be sent for production which will later be applied to the total cost of the completed piece (deposit amounts are typically 50%).
Due to the number of different makers we source our body jewelry from, we cannot guarantee a timeframe for custom orders to be completed (though we will provide our best estimate). Once your custom order has been received, you will be contacted by the piercer to make an appointment to have it installed. The remaining balance will be collected at the time of that appointment.
Jewelry Change Fee Policy
Appointments for changes using client-provided jewelry will incur a $10 setup fee.
If you are purchasing jewelry from Conjur for the change, the setup fee is reduced to $5.
Any changes performed during an appointment for a new piercing are provided at no additional cost.
Photos, Video, & Live Streaming Policy
Photos are allowed only after first obtaining permission from the piercer. Videos and live streaming in the studio are strictly prohibited. Please respect both the piercer’s and client’s right to privacy and consent. Any unauthorized recording will result in the immediate cancellation of the appointment.
Minor Supervision Policy
Any adult arriving for their appointment with a child must have an accompanying adult present to provide supervision. For safety reasons, unsupervised children are not permitted in the studio during an appointment of any kind.
Genital Piercing Appointments Policy
No minors are permitted in the piercing room during any nipple or genital piercing appointments. Please make proper arrangements in advance for your child if you are scheduling for one of these piercings.
Tipping Policy
At Conjur Piercing Arts, we strive to provide the highest level of professionalism, service, and quality for all of our clients. Though tipping is never expected, we certainly accept and appreciate them if you find your experience with us was a positive one. Fixed gratuity charges are never included. We also appreciate positive online reviews and personal recommendations!
